CEO of Kansas hospice care facility arrested for alleged sale of sexual relations
The CEO of a Kansas hospice care facility was arrested Sunday night for allegedly promoting the sale of sexual relations, among other charges, according to jail records.
Jeremy Stover, who leads Freedom Hospice in Hiawatha, was arrested just after 10:30 p.m. for alleged sexual battery, possession of opiate, opium or other substances and sale of sexual relations, according to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
According to its website, Freedom Hospice serves individuals and families in Atchison, Brown, Clay, Doniphan, Jackson, Jefferson, Leavenworth, Marshall, Nemaha, Pottawatomie, Riley and Washington counties.
The hospice site says it is “locally owned and operated by a cancer survivor and retired army medic veteran.” Stover has served as CEO since September 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Freedom Hospice said it had no comment on the allegations.
An investigation by the sheriff’s office is ongoing.
