Charge filed in gunfire incident at Olathe softball fields
A 61-year-old man was charged Monday with firing gunshots over the weekend in the parking lot of an Olathe softball complex.
No one was injured in the Saturday afternoon incident at the Olathe Girls Softball Association fields in the 13900 block of West 151st Street.
Johnson County prosecutors charged Richard Dale Hastings, of Olathe, with aggravated assault. The alleged victim is a relative of Hastings and the charge was filed as a domestic violence case.
A bond will be set when he makes his first court appearance on Monday afternoon.
