Man shot in the legs while standing in Kansas City parking lot

The incident was reported about 8 p.m. after a woman said she was being followed in a vehicle by her ex-boyfriend. The woman told investigators that she had an active order of protection against her boyfriend, according to police.

The woman said her boyfriend began to follow her in his vehicle as she drove near 39th Street and Prospect Avenue. They both continued south on Prospect.
