Missing 73-year-old Kansas City man with medical conditions reported found

Update: Police reported Charles Bessenbacher found on Monday morning.

Police are asking for help finding a missing 73-year-old Kansas City man with medical conditions who disappeared three days ago, a police spokeswoman said.

Charles Bessenbacher was last seen about 10 a.m. Monday in the 4000 block of Chestnut Avenue, said Capt. Leslie Foreman, a spokeswoman for the Kansas City Police Department.

Bessenbacher was described as a white male, about 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighing 132 pounds. He has white balding hair, hazel eyes, black glasses. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, camouflage vest, blue jeans and black boots.

He has medical conditions that require him to take medication. He is known to frequent areas of East 22nd and Charlotte streets, which is near the University Health Truman Medical Center.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Kansas City Police Department’s missing persons unit at 816-234-5220.
