Victim of fatal shooting in downtown Kansas City shooting identified by police

The victim of a shooting in downtown Kansas City Oct. 19 has been identified, according to the Kansas City Police Department.

Donald Moore, 21, was shot near 12th Street and Grand Boulevard, Donna Drake, a spokesperson with the KCPD, said in an email. Officers responded just after 5 p.m. that day to find him suffering from gunshot wounds.

Drake said crime scene personnel then canvassed the area for witnesses and video.

Moore was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later died.
