Authorities search for prisoner who walked away from Lansing Correctional Center Sunday
Update: The Kansas Department of Corrections said Joshua Renfro was apprehended Monday night.
A 39-year-old man walked away from Lansing Correctional Facility in Kansas on Sunday.
Joshua W. Renfro was placed on “escape status” around 9 p.m., the Kansas Department of Corrections said in a news release.
He was serving a 30 month sentence for violating an extended protection order in Allen County, according to KDOC records.
He is 6 feet, 1 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has hazel eyes, brown hair and tattoos on his torso, neck, hands arms and legs, KDOC said.
