Bank robbery getaway driver sent to prison

A Kansas City man who drove the getaway car in five area bank robberies was sentenced Monday to four years and seven months in prison.

Dale Williamson, 35, previously pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kan., to taking part in the five robberies in April and May of 2014.

One hold-up happened in St. Joseph. The others were in Raytown, Gladstone and Overland Park, which had two.
