Woman surrenders after shooting and standoff in Kansas City
About two hours after a shooting Saturday in the 3600 block of Mersington Avenue, a woman who had retreated into the home surrendered to Kansas City police.
Charges are expected Sunday, police said.
Police had set up a perimeter around the home about 7:45 p.m. Saturday. A man in his mid-40s told officers his daughter, a woman in her mid-20s, shot him after an argument.
He was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
