Man injured in September traffic crash dies
A Kansas City man injured in a Sept. 20 traffic crash has died, according to Kansas City police.
Michael Hernandez, 28, had been hospitalized since the crash at 31st and McGee streets. He died Wednesday.
Hernandez was a passenger in a car that was struck by another vehicle that had fled from police a few minutes earlier.
Officers had tried to pull the vehicle over near 31st Street and Southwest Trafficway, but it sped away and officers had discontinued the pursuit before the vehicle was involved in the collision, according to a police spokesman.
