The driver of an all-terrain vehicle was injured in a one-vehicle crash Saturday night in Kansas City after allegedly driving erratically in the median before he was ejected, according to police.

Police found a white Yamaha Raptor just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday flipped over the median near 17th Street and The Paseo, said Officer Donna Drake, a spokeswoman with the Kansas City Police Department, in a news release.

The driver, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was ejected from the vehicle and had life-threatening injuries, Drake said.

Police said evidence in the median showed the ATV had performed doughnuts and drove erratically in the median before the crash.
