Woman reports a home invasion robbery in Overland Park
An Overland Park woman was robbed at knifepoint Thursday morning by two men who broke into her house.
The woman was not injured in the incident, which was reported about 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the 12700 block of West 120th Terrace, according to police.
She told officers that she had just returned home when someone knocked on her door. As she walked toward the door, the woman said, the men broke out a window next to the door and opened it.
The woman said she screamed at them to get out. One grabbed her and held a knife to her throat. They grabbed a necklace from around her neck and fled. Police said they got into a white four-door vehicle driven by a third person.
The assailants were described as tall, skinny black males in their late teens to early 20s. Both wore dark, long-sleeved T-shirts and blue jeans.
