Motorcyclist dies from September wreck injuries

A motorcyclist injured in a Sept. 28 traffic crash has died, Overland Park police said Wednesday.

Police identified him as Patrick Bernard Strader, 59, of Overland Park.

The crash occurred near 106th Street and Quivira Road. Witnesses told police that the motorcycle crashed after swerving to avoid a vehicle that police said “made an unsafe lane change” in front of it.

A passenger on the motorcycle sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate.
