Police investigate juvenile critically wounded while fleeing Kansas City store

A store clerk critically wounded a fleeing juvenile Tuesday at 59th Street and Prospect Avenue, police said.

Police responded to the shooting at 1:49 p.m. The juvenile was wounded while running out of the store, police said. The person’s medical condition was not available.

Investigators interviewed the clerk shortly after the shooting. It wasn’t clear why the juvenile was fleeing the store.
