Charges filed in Oak Park Mall shooting
Johnson County prosecutors on Tuesday accused two Kansas City, Kan., men of firing shots Saturday toward several people outside Oak Park Mall in Overland Park.
Willie James Bryant III, 24, and Gerardo Rodriguez, 20, each face two counts of aggravated assault and one count of child endangerment.
Overland Park police said the men surrendered late Monday night. Bond for each has been set at $100,000.
No one was injured in the Saturday night incident in the mall parking lot. Police said that the shooting was not random and that the shots were fired toward a man the shooters knew. He was with a woman and a small child at the time.
Police want to talk to other people who may have been involved.
