Attempted abduction reported in south Overland Park
An 18-year-old woman reported an attempted abduction near 158th Street and Ash street in Overland Park on Tuesday afternoon.
The woman told police she was grabbed from behind by a mane in the driveway of a home about 3:30 p.m. She screamed and the suspect fled.
The suspect was last seen leaving the area in a work van with flat red paint. He was described as a 40- to 50-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and heavy set. The woman said he was wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt with an animal design on it, jean shorts and burgundy shoes. The man had dark, spiked hair.
