Gardner man identified as victim in fatal KC traffic crash

Kansas City police on Tuesday identified a man killed in a Monday morning traffic crash as 25-year-old Israel T. Adams of Gardner.

Adams was driving north on Interstate 435 at Blue Parkway just before 7 a.m. Monday when he lost control of his car and hit a guardrail. His car skidded to a stop on the highway’s inside lane.

Another northbound car collided with Adams’ car, police said. Adams later died at a hospital. Police did not say if the other driver was hurt, but that driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
