September shooting victim’s death ruled a homicide

The victim of a Kansas City shooting last September has died, and his death has been classified as a homicide.

Arthur K. O’Neal, 19, suffered a gunshot wound to the head Sept. 26 while in the 3700 block of Elmwood Avenue, according to Kansas City police.

After he died on June 13, the Jackson County Medical Examiner ruled that his death was a homicide.

O’Neal’s death brings Kansas City’s 2014 homicide total to 80.
