Witness says bicyclist killed ran a stop sign

A man on bicycle was killed in a collision with a pickup truck Monday afternoon in Kansas City.

The incident occurred about 4:15 p.m. at 45th Street and Indiana Avenue. Police said the cyclist was eastbound on 45th Street when he collided with the truck that was northbound on Indiana. The cyclist had severe head injuries and died at a hospital. The driver of the truck reported the collision to police. A witness told police the cyclist ran a stop sign. Police said the driver was not impaired.
