KCK police investigating homicide

Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating the Monday afternoon shooting death of a man in the northeast area of the city.

Officers received a call of a shooting about 2:10 Monday in the 1900 block of North Third Street.

When they arrived they found a man who appeared to be in his 20s dead in the street.

Police said the victim’s name will not be released until relatives are notified. Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
