Burglar fleeing Prairie Village causes State Line wreck

A burglary suspect fleeing from Prairie Village police was arrested after a traffic crash on State Line Road Friday morning.

Prairie Village officers were called to the 2100 block of W. 73rd Street about 10:30 a.m. Friday after a witness saw two suspects force open the back door on a house.

When officers arrived, one of the suspects fled in a vehicle that crashed into another vehicle and a parked car near 72nd Street and State Line. The suspect was taken to a hospital for what were described as minor injuries. Police said no one else was hurt in the crash.

The second suspect was arrested at the scene of the reported burglary.
