Half a million child porn images land Warrensburg, Mo., man in prison

A Warrensburg, Mo., man who amassed a collection of more than 500,000 images of child pornography was sentenced Thursday to 21 years and 10 months in prison.

Richard Alan Sigsbury, 52, pleaded guilty in October to four counts of distributing child pornography, four counts of advertising child pornography, one count of possessing child pornography and one count of possessing child obscenity.

According to court documents filed in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Sigsbury “actively” advertised and distributed the contents of his collection to other people.

Besides the still images, he also possessed more than 600 videos containing child pornography, and told investigators he had been involved in child pornography for more than 10 years.
