KCK police investigating stolen vehicle ring
Kansas City, Kan., police have recovered numerous vehicles and other stolen items from property on the far western border of the city.
The investigation into the theft ring and possible chop shop operation is continuing, police said Thursday. No charges have been filed.
Detectives found the vehicles Tuesday at a residence in the 1800 block of South 94th Street. About a dozen vehicles of various types, including at least one golf cart and several trailers, were recovered, according to police. Tools and other miscellaneous items also were recovered.
The discovery came on the same day that police recovered a stolen vintage Airstream trailer in Edwardsville, about a mile from the 94th Street location. A witness told police of seeing the stolen Airstream parked at the 94th Street property.
