Police investigate shooting that left woman critically injured in Kansas City, Kansas
Police are investigating a shooting in northeast Kansas City, Kansas, that left a woman with critical injuries Tuesday afternoon, a police spokesperson said.
Kansas City, Kansas, police responded to the shooting shortly before 1 p.m. near North 26th Street and Quindaro Boulevard. Arriving officers found the female victim with a gunshot wound.
Police said a verbal argument escalated, which resulted in shots exchanged between “two different parties,” Public Information Officer Nancy Chartrand said.
Emergency medical crews rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Others involved were transported to the hospital with possible minor injuries.
Police said they do not know yet what lead to the confrontation. No suspect information was available.
