Police are searching for an Overland Park woman who has been missing from her Kansas home since Saturday.

Marilane Carter, 36, was last seen leaving her Overland Park home about 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Officer John Lacy, a spokesman for the Overland Park Police Department, said in an email Thursday.

She was traveling in an SUV to visit family in Birmingham, Alabama, Lacy said. The last known contact someone had with her was by phone while she was in Memphis, Tennessee, police confirmed.

Carter, a white woman, is 5-feet-8-inches tall and about 130 pounds, police said. She also has green eyes and long brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and black yoga pants, Lacy said.

“Ms. Carter has made concerning statements to her family and has not been heard from since later Sunday,” Lacy said.

She was last known to be driving a gray 2011 GMC Acadia with the Kansas license plate 194 LFY.

Police ask that anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts contact law enforcement.
