An Overland Park man who was awaiting trial on charges of child sex abuse has been reported missing after fleeing house arrest.

Sean Dow removed the ankle bracelet that monitored his house arrest and left his home in Overland Park early Saturday morning, Overland Park police said.

House arrest was ordered for Dow, 28, as a condition of his bond in two cases filed in April and May in Johnson County District Court.

He is accused of touching four girls inappropriately while he taught at a Shawnee music store.

Court employees monitoring Dow’s house arrest called Overland Park police to his home about 4:30 a.m. Saturday. A relative confirmed to officers that Dow was gone and filed a missing person report.

Johnson County prosecutors on Monday filed a motion to revoke Dow’s $100,000 bond, and a judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.

His new bond was set at $500,000.
