Raytown police look for suspect in shooting that sent man to hospital

Raytown police were investigating an overnight shooting that sent a man to the hospital, police said.

Officers responded to the shooting about 12:25 a.m. at a home in the 10000 block of East 79th Street.

Arriving officers found the victim, an adult male, who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Police said the unknown shooter left the home prior to officers arriving. No suspect information was available.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
