Police say man slain in south Kansas City reported shooting near elementary school
One man was killed late Wednesday after a reported shooting in south Kansas City, police said.
Kansas City police officers responded to 117th Terrace and Food Lane just before midnight Wednesday on a reported shooting. On the way to the scene, officers found a vehicle believed to be involved with a victim inside, a few blocks from the original scene.
The victim was given first aid and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No suspect information has been released.
