Police investigating after 2 people found dead in Kansas City, Kansas, home

Kansas City, Kansas, police were investigating after two people were found dead in a home Wednesday afternoon.

Police have not said how the two people died, but their deaths were being labeled as suspicious in a statement posted to Twitter.

The investigation started after police officers were called around 4 p.m. to conduct a welfare check at a home in the 100 block of South Eighth Street.

Arriving officers found the two dead individuals in the residence. The deceased were identified by police as Kassandra Martz, 29, and Samuel Martz, 32.

The deaths are being investigated by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Division.
