Kansas City, Kansas, man found guilty of murder in 2018 triple homicide, DA says

A Wyandotte County jury has found a man guilty of murder after three people were found shot to death in a Kansas City, Kansas, home in 2018, the district attorney’s office announced in a news release.

MonDale Douglas, 29, of Kansas City, Kansas, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder after Edward A. Rawlins, 51, David C. Rawlins, 46, and Addrin C. Coats, 40, were found dead on April 3, 2018. The bodies of the victims were located inside a duplex at 1129 Tenny Ave. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots the night before.

Douglas was arrested and charged soon after the killing.

Douglas was found guilty of three counts of premeditated first-degree murder on Thursday, the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office said.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled March 13.
