Kansas City man charged with shooting at vehicle. Two children were in it

A Kansas City man has been charged with firing at a car with two children in it on New Year’s Day.

Anthony G. Burch, 35, is charged with seven felonies, including aggravated battery, aggravated endangering a child and criminal discharge of a firearm at a motor vehicle.

The January 1 shooting stemmed from a domestic violence incident, said Officer John Lacy, spokesman for the Overland Park Police Department.

A criminal complaint filed by the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office alleges Burch injured a woman and fired at a vehicle occupied by two children under the age of 2.

Bond has been set at $100,000.
