An investigation into three recent pharmacy robberies in the Kansas City area has led to federal drug charges against three Kansas City, North, residents.

Federal prosecutors on Thursday charged Austin T. Bradbury, 26, Danielle M. Bradbury, 25, and Christa M. O’Dell, 20, with possession with the intent to sell oxycodone, a narcotic painkiller.

Austin Bradbury also was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

In the robberies on May 5 in Kansas City, May 16 in Independence and Tuesday in Liberty, robbers stole a total of more than 5,000 doses of oxycodone, according to court documents.

Independence police publicly released surveillance video of that city’s robbery, which generated several tips.

On Tuesday night, authorities served a federal search warrant at a house in Kansas City, North, and arrested the Bradburys and O’Dell. Authorities recovered more than 1,000 oxycodone doses and a 9mm semiautomatic handgun, which was found in a safe along with Austin Bradbury’s birth certificate and Social Security card, according to court documents.

Because he has a previous felony conviction, it is illegal for Bradbury to possess a firearm.
