Masked robbers steal narcotics from Liberty pharmacy during early morning heist
A man and a woman wearing black surgical masks robbed a Liberty pharmacy early Tuesday and fled in a gold sedan driven by a third person, police said.
The robbery took place about 3:50 a.m. at the Walgreen’s Pharmacy in the 1100 block of West Kansas Street.
The man and woman entered the store and jumped the pharmacy counter. They stole an undisclosed amount of oxycodone and other narcotics. Police did not know whether the robbers were armed.
The two fled to an older, gold sedan, possibly a Cadillac, driven by another man. The car sped away north on Missouri 291. Police searched the area and were unable to find the robbers.
In addition to the masks, the man who entered the store was wearing a light blue American Eagle hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and blue jeans while the woman was wearing an olive green hooded sweatshirt with a zebra print, black gloves and blue jeans, according to police.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (474-8477).
