Man robs Overland Park Walmart with a note
Overland Park police are searching for a man who robbed the Walmart at 11701 Metcalf Ave. Saturday.
According to police, the man walked up to the customer service counter at 9:15 a.m. and handed an employee a note that said he had a gun. The employee complied to the man’s demands and gave him an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect fled on foot and was last seen running north in the parking lot. No one was injured during the robbery.
Police say they’re looking for a man in his early 20s. He has a slender build, is between 5’8” and 5’10”, and was wearing a plain gray T-shirt, dark shorts and a red baseball hat with a flat black brim.
