KCK man, sister killed in collision with Virginia murder suspect
Virginia State Police have identified two victims of a suburban Richmond crash that also killed a suspect in two killings.
Wendell E. Hayman, 65, of Kansas City, Kan., and his sister, Ethel D. Ellis, 66, of Washington, D.C., were killed Friday in a crash on Interstate 295 in Hanover County. The two were on their way to go camping in Virginia Beach.
Their car was struck by a sports car driven by Stafford L. Shaw Sr., who was fleeing a state trooper. He also was killed. Two others were injured.
Investigators think Shaw had shot and killed his estranged girlfriend, Morgan R. Rogers, 34, and her 1-year-old daughter, Leah. Their bodies were found Friday afternoon in their Chesterfield County home.
