Overland Park police seek the public’s help in finding a fugitive

Overland Park police are seeking help from the public to find a fugitive wanted on multiple charges.

Josef Thomaz Cunningham, 29, of Kansas City, Kan., faces charges of aggravated burglary, felony theft, identity theft and drug possession in Johnson County.

He also is a parole absconder from the Kansas Department of Corrections and is charged in Platte County with forgery, resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license.

Police said that in one incident, Cunningham intentionally rammed an Overland Park police car to escape.

Cunningham is black, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 240 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
