Lee’s Summit police search for convenience store robber
Lee’s Summit police are investigating an overnight convenience store holdup that took place about 3 a.m. in the 300 block of Hwy. 291.
The robber, armed with a handgun, demanded money from the store clerk before fleeing on foot. Officers set up a perimeter around the store and used a police dog to search the immediate area but were unable to locate the robber.
Police described him as white, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and wearing dark pants and a dark-hooded sweatshirt.
No injuries were reported, police said.
