Kansas City police have arrested a Butler, Mo., woman accused of driving drunk and killing a passenger in February.

Police took Krestin A. Hawk into custody Tuesday. She was wanted on a Jackson County Circuit Court warrant issued in late April charging her with involuntary manslaughter in the Feb. 15 death of Kaitlyn E. Turner.

Turner, 23, also of Butler, died when the SUV driven by Hawk crashed in the 11500 block of Minor Drive.

According to court documents, the women had been drinking at an Overland Park bar before the crash. Hawk’s blood alcohol content later measured at .128 percent, according to court documents. The legal limit is .08 percent.

Hawk, 25, is being held on a bond of $100,000.
