Stabbing victim dies after showing up at Lawrence McDonald’s

Lawrence police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Monday morning.

According to a statement, officers responded to a 911 call shortly after 6 a.m. reporting that a man was bleeding in the parking lot outside McDonald’s, 1309 W. 6th St. in Lawrence.

First responders took the stabbing victim, a man in his 40s, to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he later died. The stabbing is being investigated as a homicide.
