Pizza delivery carjacking in Oak Grove leads to high-speed chase and arrest of two

A pizza delivery driver was carjacked at gunpoint Friday in Oak Grove, leading to a high-speed police chase that ended in Kansas City.

Oak Grove police said on Facebook the carjacking occurred about 10:20 p.m. near Eighth Street and Southeast Park Drive.

The driver said he had been followed to the delivery address by three people in a dark-colored Dodge. One of them pointed a gun at the driver and demanded his cash and keys. Two of the suspects then left the scene in the delivery driver’s vehicle and the third left in the Dodge.

A Grain Valley police sergeant saw the pizza vehicle heading west on Interstate 70 at high speed. Blue Springs police then pursued the vehicle into Kansas City where it was stopped at I-70 and 23rd Street. The two suspects were arrested.
