12 years in prison for Lawrence man who offered teenage girl money for nude photos
A Lawrence man who convinced a teenage girl to send him nude pictures of herself was sentenced Wednesday to 12 years and seven months in prison.
Jamie Drake, 40, pleaded guilty in June in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kan., to coercion and enticement of a minor.
The Missouri girl was 16 in 2016 when Drake began communicating with her online, according to his plea agreement.
He offered to pay her bills and send her money if she sent him “images of a sexual nature,” according to the agreement.
The girl, who told Drake she was 16, complied and sent several images.
Her older sister found out what was going on and contacted police.
