Yorkie puppy lost when car is stolen; Overland Park police ask for help finding it
A 3-month-old Yorkshire terrier is missing after someone stole a car in Overland Park with the puppy inside and then fled from police.
The Yorkie was last seen about 1 a.m. on Nov. 3, inside a black Chrysler 200 sedan in the 10700 block of Roe Avenue, where the car was stolen.
Independence police tried to stop the car a short time later, but the driver sped away. The car was later found abandoned near 87th Street and Ford Avenue in south Kansas City. The puppy was not inside.
