Missing worker found shot to death in KC home

Police are investigating the death of a woman found Tuesday morning inside her central Kansas City home.

Officers were called just before 9:30 a.m. to the 4200 block of Forest Avenue on a reported shooting. They found the victim dead from apparent gunshot injuries.

Friends of the woman had called police after discovering her body. They had gone to check on her after she didn’t show up for work, according to police.
