Three injured after shooting in Independence bar
Three people, including the alleged gunman, were wounded early Sunday morning during a shooting at an Independence bar.
Police said they received a 911 call at 1:22 a.m. Sunday that a shooting had taken place at Alibi’s, a bar at 305 North State Route 291. Police officers found three people shot by a man with a handgun. Police said the suspect had apparently shot two people and also accidentally shot himself while inside the bar.
Other customers were holding the suspect, who was still in possession of the weapon, when police arrived. The officers disarmed the suspect and the three wounded individuals were taken to local hospitals.
Police said the condition of the wounded people is not known at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
