Kansas City, Kan., police say they are investigating a reported rape after someone invited a person they met on Snapchat to their home.

Police said the incident was reported Thursday afternoon in the 4100 block of Willard Court.

A person who lived there told police that she had been in contact with someone on Snapchat, an app in which messages will disappear, and invited him to meet at her home, according to police.

The man was left alone with a 15-year-old girl while the person who invited him went into the kitchen to make food.

The man then allegedly raped the teen girl and fled, police were told.

A detailed description of the suspect has not been released.
