KC man Tasered by police on video pleads guilty to federal gun charge
A man seen in a video being subdued with a Taser by Kansas City police pleaded guilty to a federal gun charge Friday.
El Johnson, 37, pleaded guilty in federal court in Kansas City to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Johnson admitted that he was armed with a .380-caliber handgun last November. He was under the influence of PCP and was walking down a street firing the gun when police were called.
As officers arrived, Johnson put the gun on the ground but continued walking when a Taser was used to stop him and he was arrested.
Johnson has numerous prior felony drug convictions and cannot legally possess a firearm.
