KCK man who stole 14 guns from pawn shop sentenced to prison

A Kansas City, Kan., man who stole 14 guns in a 2017 pawn shop burglary has been sentenced to four years and three months in federal prison.

Angel D. Mora was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kan., where he pleaded guilty to stealing firearms from a licensed dealer.

Mora, 20, was one of two men charged in the April 20, 2017, break-in at Little Joe’s Pawn and Gun in the 7900 block of State Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.

Seven rifles, five shotguns and two handguns were taken in the burglary. Among the rifles were several semi-automatic assault-style weapons.

Co-defendant Ramiro Whitney was previously sentenced to five years and 10 months in prison.
