Up to $7K offered for information on recent KC-area car thefts from dealers, police say

Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating individuals allegedly responsible for a series of vehicle thefts at various car dealerships across the Kansas City metro.

The thefts were recently reported in Kansas City, Harrisonville, Shawnee and Bonner Springs.

The Greater KC Crime Stoppers announced in a news release Saturday that $5,000 was added to an existing reward, bringing the total of up to $7,000 available for information leading to an arrest or filing of charges in the thefts.

Authorities also released surveillance images of individuals possibly connected to the thefts.
