Police investigating homicide in Midtown KC
Police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed Monday night in midtown Kansas City.
Kansas City police say they were dispatched at about 6:30 p.m. to the area of 41st Street and Garfield Avenue on reports of shots fired. Police found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound in a wooded area within the block.
Police rendered aid to the man until the fire department transported him to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries. No further information on the victim has been released.
Police say there is no suspect information at this time.
