Suspicious package at KCPD determined to be non-dangerous
Update: Hazmat crews have determined a suspicious package found in the KCPD mail room on Monday afternoon to be non-dangerous and non-hazardous.
Authorities are investigating a suspicious package in the mail room at the Kansas City Police Department headquarters downtown.
Police say hazmat crews from the Kansas City Fire Department were dispatched about 4:20 p.m. Monday to police headquarters at 11th Street and Locust Avenue.
