Raytown police investigate after man says he was shot by a stranger while walking
Raytown police are investigating a shooting early Friday that left a man with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Officers responded about 2:30 a.m. to an area hospital to investigate a man who had been shot.
The victim said he was walking in the 6400 block of Raytown Road around 12:30 a.m., when he was approached by someone he didn’t know. The man said he heard a loud bang and realized that he had been shot.
No other details were released.
Police did not have a detailed description of the shooter and no arrests have been made.
